🍂 WELCOME TO SEPTEMBER! 🍂

September is here, and we’re ready to welcome the start of fall with lots of fun, laughter, food, and fellowship at Chugiak Senior Center! We have a great lineup planned this month, and there are plenty of reasons to join in on the fun!

We’ll kick things off on September 4th with an Affogato Social at 10:00 AM at Latte Fun Coffee Shop, where you can enjoy a FREE sweet treat and test your knowledge with some ice cream trivia! Then, on September 10th at 11:30 AM, we’re celebrating National School Picture Day, so dig out those old high school photos and get ready for a fun surprise!

On September 16th at noon, put your thinking caps on for Mayflower Trivia & Pumpkin Pie, followed by an evening of Karaoke & Pizza on September 25th at 4:00 PM. Whether you’re ready to grab the microphone or just want to enjoy the show (and the pizza!), everyone is welcome!

We’ll wrap up the month on September 29th from 10:00–11:00 AM with a Zero-Proof Coffee-Themed Happy Hour at Latte Fun Coffee Shop in honor of National Coffee Day. There will be FREE drinks and treats and while we may not have those kinds of drinks, we promise it will still be a good time! ☕😂

So grab your calendar, invite a friend, and come join us this September! Whether you’re here for the treats, trivia, music, food, or simply the opportunity to spend time with friends, we’d love to see you.

There’s always something happening at Chugiak Senior Center, and we hope you’ll be part of it!

Happy September!

Dear Friends, Happy July! Summer has officially arrived, bringing long Alaska days, sunshine, and countless opportunities to gather with friends and neighbors. As we welcome a new month, we're excited for all the fun and fellowship that July has in store here at the Chugiak Senior Center. This year, our Fourth of July celebration is especially meaningful as our nation celebrates America's 250th Birthday . For 250 years, the United States has been a story of perseverance, hope, service, and community. It's a time to reflect on the generations who came before us, celebrate the freedoms we enjoy today, and look ahead with gratitude and optimism. We hope you'll join us for our Fourth of July BBQ on July 4 from 12:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m . Enjoy great food, lawn games, wonderful company, and one of the best spots in town to watch the parade. Bring your family and friends as we celebrate this historic milestone together. The fun continues throughout the month with a trip to the Bear Paw Festival , an evening cheering on the Chinooks as they take on the Miners, and our exciting Senior Iron Man Challenge . Whether you're exploring local treasures, enjoying America's favorite pastime, or participating in some friendly competition, there's something for everyone to enjoy. Of course, these are just a few of the many activities happening this month. From shared meals and fitness classes to games, crafts, and fellowship, there's always something bringing our community together. Thank you for being such an important part of the Chugiak Senior Center family. We wish you a safe and joyful Independence Day, a wonderful July, and a summer filled with laughter, friendship, and lasting memories. Happy Fourth of July and Happy 250th Birthday, America!
