Welcome Home

At CERSC, we redefine the senior living experience with a commitment to excellence that surpasses mere basics.

Chugiak-Eagle River Senior Center, overseen by Chugiak Senior Citizens, Inc., a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization established in 1975, caters to the needs of seniors aged 60 and above, as well as disabled adults residing in the broader Chugiak, Eagle River, and Eklutna regions.

We believe everyone deserves to stay independent while staying connected to the community they love. Our campus offers a variety of living options, including 42 independent apartments, 20 affordable senior units, and 20 assisted living suites.

Beyond housing, we nourish the neighborhood with a wholesome meal program open to everyone, including Meals-On-Wheels. Whether you need a lift to Anchorage or the Mat-Su Valley via our transportation services, or want to energize your day through our wellness and activity programs, there is a place for you here. You can even join our mission by volunteering to help make a difference in your neighbors' lives.

As we step into a new month, we’re grateful for the continued sense of community, connection, and care that makes the Chugiak Senior Center such a special place. With spring on the horizon here in Alaska, we’re looking forward to longer days, warmer moments, and plenty of opportunities to gather together. We have some exciting events coming up! Be sure to mark your calendars for our Mother’s Day Brunch on May 10th , where we’ll come together to celebrate and honor the wonderful mothers and women in our lives with good food and great company. We’ll also be hosting a Soup Sale , perfect for enjoying a warm, homemade meal while supporting the center. In addition to these events, April will be filled with regular activities, friendly faces, and meaningful moments. Whether you’re joining us for a meal, a class, simply stopping by to say hello or you call this place your home, there’s always something happening at the center. Whether you join us for a warm cup of coffee in the morning, a game with friends, a class, or one of our special events, we hope the center continues to be a place where everyone feels welcome and part of the community. This month we have a variety of activities planned to keep everyone engaged and connected. From social gatherings and games to wellness programs and community events, there are many opportunities to stay active and enjoy time together.
